What’s e-BioS?

e-BioS stand for Examination For Bioinformatics Scholarship. IBI has intended to offer various annual scholarships to students in the field of bioinformatics. "e-BioS" is a scholarship funded by the IBI Biosolutions Pvt Ltd, for the life sciences or IT aspirants in India, who wants to pursue bioinformatics as a career or wants to go for higher studies in bioinformatics field.

Objective of e-BioS

To provide a platform for the students and professionals so to apply their knowledge and skills in the bioinformatics field and can learn more in this field.

Scholarship classification:

IBI Biosolutions has intended to offer scholarship of worth Rs. 2 Lacs that has been categorized below:

Scholarships of Rs. 10,000 each will be granted to first five top scorers or rank holders.
Next ten scorers will get discount in training at IBI Biosolutions Pvt Ltd campus as per the percentage obtained by them in examination.
Next ten scorers will be the sponsored candidate of IBI Biosolutions to appear for BINC examination conducted by BINC PUNE.
E-Certificate will be given to all the participants who score 65% and above in the examination.

Features of e-BioS

Scholarship for life science and IT graduates of worth Rs. 2 Lacs in the field of Bioinformatics.
Examination will be online all over INDIA
No registration fee for the exam.
Candidate can confer exam from his/her own place of interest.
Merit list of scholars will be prepared on the basis of online examination. Minimum of 65% marks will be required to qualify for the exam.
Scheme of Examination:
e-BioS examination will comprise of 100 multiple choice questions.
e-BioS examination will be of 1hour and 30 minutes duration and is of 200 marks.
Exam consist of 100 multiple choice questions of intermediate and Graduation level, covering the entire subject at that level.
The medium of examination will be English only and will be divided into three sections:

All questions will be of 2 marks each. There will be negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.

ELIGIBILITY
All life science and IT graduates in final year or passed out and Masters pursuing graduate can apply for the e-BioS 2012.
Candidate should have attained minimum of 65% marks in graduation or till previous semester examination, whichever is applicable.
